Hunters become prey |
Grizzly bear shreds student’s face
They were on the hunt – but suddenly two students became prey themselves!
A grizzly bear attacked Kendell Cummings and Brady Lowry in Wyoming, seriously injuring the Americans. The “New York Post” reports on this, among others.
Accordingly, the two amateur wrestlers were traveling in the Shoshone National Forest when the incident occurred. “I saw bear shit everywhere and I said to Kenny, ‘Here’s a grizzly,'” Lowry recalled. In this second, the predator had already fallen out of the bushes.
“The bear attacked me and grabbed me,” Lowry said. With its powerful jaws, the animal broke his arm. “I did not know, what I should do. So I curled up.”
Cummings wanted to help his friend. Madness: The Ami kicked the animal, which weighed up to 700 kilograms, and pulled on its fur! With success: The bear left Cummings. But: Suddenly the grizzly was following him! “He chewed on me a bit and then walked away. I called Brady to make sure he was okay,” Cummings said.
But suddenly the grizzly bear came back! “It got my head and my cheek,” said the student, whose head and face are deeply scarred. Finally the bear pulled the leash, “for whatever reason”.
A little later, other participants in the hunt found the injured. “He was just soaked in blood,” said an eyewitness.
Rescuers summoned rescuers Kendell Cummings and Brady Lowry from the wilderness by helicopter. After a few days, they were discharged from the hospital at their own request.
Her coach from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming said, “You’ve got some really serious wounds. Cummings has a lot of braces on his head and he needs some surgery on his cheek,” said Jim Zeigler.
