The new “Cancer Institute” structure brings together on the Arnault Tzanck site in Mougins all the players involved in cancer care, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, support or post-cancer treatment. A synergy that places the Arnault Tzanck site as a major player in oncology in the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes, with more than 120 specialists.
“If we can come together, we’ll all be a little stronger once morest cancer, underlined the president of the establishment medical conference, Dominique Lanvin. This is the idea behind the creation of this institute. This can also financially help certain projects such as the installation of the Da Vinci X surgical robot, the latest generation in the institute.
Win time
“Today, what is proposed to the Cancer Institute is to save more time, whether in prevention; screening, diagnosis and treatment, underlined the mayor Richard Galy. This is another extraordinary step forward for the Arnault Tzanck private hospital which, for 40 years, has continued to move forward in terms of equipment, therapeutic technologies…”
Since the first two buildings Saint-Basile and Plein Ciel, then the merger with the clinics of Cannes and Antibes and their extension, the Arnault Tzanck clinic has continued to develop, always at the forefront of progress: installation of a building of surgery, the department’s first scanner, MRI, scintigraphy, cutting-edge services in cardiology, research, oncology, etc.
A functional and effective multidisciplinary approach which earned it the national “Hospital” label last year and which continues to develop.
Technological innovations
“Different goals should be our guide, announced Dominique Lanvin : continue to develop screening, pursue innovative therapy in surgery, radiotherapy, medical oncology, develop support care, medical care and continue to develop clinical research in which we are already well placed at the national level.”
The launch ceremony continued with medical conferences dedicated to innovations in cancer treatment.
Among the novelties: the technique of the pelvic sentinel lymph node by fluorescence in ovarian cancer, the column of laparoscopic surgery video with fluorescence which makes it possible to better identify tumors and the diagnostic course “All in one day”.
