In 1975, almost 50 years ago, Mozart’s popular “Coronation Mass” was first heard in Leonding. Yours Christian Harrer celebrated the 10th church concert with the choir of the parish of St. Michael and thus marked the beginning of a Mozart tradition that extended to numerous works of choral and orchestral music as well as the concert performance of the opera “The Magic Flute” in the Mozart year 1991 to to the present.
With the “Prague Symphony” and the “Coronation Mass” Harrer – with a wink – creates a daring reference to Leonding when he points out that the composer, on one of his journeys on the main route from Salzburg to Vienna, today’s B1, might also have come by in Doppl with the stagecoach…
Die Chorvereinigung Cantus Michaelis as well as that Leonding Symphony Orchestra cordially invite you.
Sunday, Nov. 6, 5 p.m., Pfarrkirche Leonding-Doppl
