Tunisia has imported 300,000 doses of seasonal flu vaccine, 200,000 of which will be distributed to the private sector and 100,000 to the public sector, the secretary general of the union of owners of private pharmacies, Naoufel Amira, told TAP on Monday. .
He said that the vaccine which will be distributed today and tomorrow, will be sold at the price of 46 dinars once morest 50 dinars last year.
Amira called on all citizens over the age of 60, pregnant women and people with chronic illnesses to get vaccinated once morest the seasonal flu because of its high effectiveness, especially since great reluctance on the part of citizens has been recorded over the past year.
It should be noted that the president of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists, Ali Bsilah, had stressed in a previous statement to TAP, that for the first time people vaccinated once morest seasonal flu will be registered in the evax system to ensure follow-up and benefit from a vaccination certificate if necessary.
