Abu Jabal: I have not done anything wrong after the nations of Africa

Muhammad Abu Jabal, Al-Ahly Bank goalkeeper, responded to the criticism he was subjected to following the end of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations last January, noting that some tried to spoil his relationship with the new president of his club.

Abu Jabal left Zamalek at the end of last season, and signed a contract with Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia, before the contract was terminated by the club.

This summer, Abu Jabal moved to the ranks of the National Bank.

Abu Jabal said, in statements to the Egyptian Channel One, in the early hours of Sunday morning, “Al-Ahly Bank is a club with ambition and has made great transfers, and we have a dream to participate in the African Championship and all players have ambitions to achieve something with this club.”

He added, “I chose Al-Ahly Bank because I felt their interest and they dealt with me very professionally, and there was a war and a lot was said and said regarding my future without reason.”

He continued, “They talked regarding a problem between me and the president of Al-Ahly Bank, but this is not true. He treated me like a father, and I do not understand why some people want to spoil the relationship between us.”

He continued, “I lived through a period of time and the whole of Africa was talking regarding me following what I presented with the Egyptian national team, and then following my return, I felt that there was a case of mistakes being detected for me, and this is not normal at all.”

And the goalkeeper continued, “I did not make a mistake or shorter in anything following the African nations. I gave everything I had and chose the best solutions for myself, but things did not go as required, but I am not sad regarding that because it is fate and destiny.”

He added, “The competition is strong with Al-Zanfali and Sobhi, they are great goalkeepers, but we are training well and working hard to help Al-Ahly Bank in the position we dream of.”

He continued, “The Egyptian national team is a great honor for any player, and I hope to play a match every day in the team’s shirt.”

Then he added, “The officials in the national team have already spoken to me, but because of the circumstances I went through and the existence of major negotiations with a number of clubs, they preferred to keep me outside in the camp.”

Abu Jabal continued, “I do not feel that I am far from competing with Muhammad Al-Shennawi, it is a legitimate right for everyone, and whoever performs well in the camps gets a chance.”

He continued, “Nothing is guaranteed, in the African nations I was suffering from Corona and did not travel with the national team, then everything turned in the round of 16, and El-Shennawy was injured and I got a chance, this is football.”

Abu Jabal said, “I have been very tired and have worked hard since I was 12 years old, waiting for an opportunity in the Egyptian national team, and when the opportunity came in the African Nations, I was fully prepared and set a clear goal in front of me to reach it.”

Then he added, “There is continuous communication with Muhammad Al-Shennawi, and there is also continuous communication with Trezeguet, Al-Nani, Al-Shennawi, Ramadan Sobhi, Tariq Hamed and Mahmoud Alaa, among the players of the national team, and my relationship is strong with all the players.”

And he continued, “I wish I was with Zamalek when they lifted the league shield last season, and it would have been a great honor for me, but some circumstances prevented that, but I played a large number of matches in the league and the cup, and therefore they are two championships that have a role and are counted for me, even if I did not participate in the coronation.” .

He revealed, “I have nothing to do with social media, but when some rumors reach me, I definitely feel annoyed.”

He added, “The news of a problem between me and the president of Al-Ahly Bank Club is the most sad news for me in the past period, because it made me feel that there was a trolling to catch me.”
