‘Minecraft’ 1.20 update will bring camels, bamboo crafts and more

Mojang has revealed some of what will be added in patch 1.20 of Minecraftwhich includes a crowd of camels, more decorative blocks, and new ways to craft bamboo.

While a name for the 1.20 update has yet to be provided, Mojang shared that it hopes to increase the ways players can represent themselves or their creativity in-game. ”, which will be launched with three different variants and can be manufactured for all types of wood.

In addition to panels, an entirely new wood set for bamboo will be introduced for additional crafting options. This means players can create new doors, stairs, planks, and more, including a bamboo raft that allows players, chests, and livestock to be transported.

Update 1.20 will also bring a Chiseled Library, which is a functional storage block that can be used to keep books. They will also be redstone compatible, meaning players can build secret passages using the new block.

Apart from crafting, the patch will also introduce camels to the game. These will be located in desert villages and can be used as mounts, however they differ from horses by offering a two-player saddle and a dash ability. .

Mojang has confirmed that there are still more features that haven’t been announced yet, but they will be “gradually” revealed closer to launch. An instant edition of the game – acting as a beta version of the update – will be available in “a few weeks”.

In the longer term, this year Minecraft Live has come up with another chance for players to vote on which mob they’d like to see added. This year, the choice was between a living statue Tuff Golem, a Sneaky Rascal, and a Sniffer who will search for unique seeds for players.
