Hours before the start of the conference of the Third Front in the Muslim Brotherhood, to announce its official defection from the organization, which is scheduled to be held today, Saturday, in a hotel in Turkey, the Ibrahim Munir Front in London anticipated the matter, and issued a political document in which it announced its withdrawal from any power struggle in Egypt, outlining its plans for the next stage.
The Front announced that the goal of its political mission was not merely to reach power, but rather to deal with what it described as a “critical moment” in Egypt’s history, acknowledging that the power struggle had been overcome and the withdrawal from any battles over it.
basic priorities
The group also revealed that it has 3 political priorities in the next stage, represented in ending the detainees’ file, achieving reconciliation, and building a national partnership, according to its claim.
She stressed that the priorities require overcoming the power struggle in a polarized political environment, and with it a society facing division, because this will turn any competition for power into conflict and turmoil that is not in the interest of anyone, noting that her next approach will include what she called “various options and paths.” It starts from addressing and raising public opinion to advising or opposing the government.
The Front concluded its document by commenting on the “positioning of the Brotherhood” that it should express awareness of people’s concerns and priorities, and aim to defend their interests.
Divisions and schisms
It is noteworthy that the Brotherhood was divided into two fronts, the first led by Mahmoud Hussein in Istanbul, and the second led by Ibrahim Munir in London, while the third front will announce itself today from Turkey.
The third current announced its emergence, calling itself the “Change Movement”, and implementing – as he put it – the teachings of Hassan al-Banna and Sayyid Qutb.
He also called for a general conference in Turkey, on Saturday evening, to announce himself and issue what is known as the political document.
It is noteworthy that the splits between the two fronts of the Brotherhood, which are fighting over leadership, witnessed a temporary calm following both camps claimed that a message of support and support had been received from the Brotherhood’s guide who is in Egyptian prisons, Muhammad Badie, with the support and support of each of them separately.
