In order to replace Marquis Jackson over the next few weeks, Champagne Basket has hired 2/3 Zaid Hearst.
This Saturday, Champagne Basket starts the regular season of Pro B with the reception of Orléans. But the Marnais club will not be complete. Its rear Marquis Jackson has been injured in the thigh since the victory once morest Alliance Sport Alsace last Sunday and will be out for a month and a half. To replace him, the Marnais club called on Zaid Hearst (1.94m, 29 years old). The latter finds the Pro B, division he knew with Antibes in 2019-2020. In a 6th man role – only 9 starts in 23 games – the American-Nigerian was one of the best scorers in Pro B, shooting 15.5 points on 40.7% shooting, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists for 11.7 rating in 26 minutes.
Since then, the former player from Quinnipiac University (Connecticut) played in Hungary at ALBA Fehérvár in 2020-2021 and then split his 2021-2022 season between Ukraine, with Mykolaiv, and the Spanish second division ( LEB Oro) with Alicante and La Coruña.
???? Following the injury of Marquis Jackson who will be away from the floors for several weeks, Champagne Basket welcomes the American-Nigerian player Zaid HEARST (29 years old / 1m94).
