How long should you take your shower to keep your skin healthy?

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)– Many people resort to buying a lot of creams that maintain skin health. However, there is no need to spend a lot of money on it.

And the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, published some basic steps for healthy and fresh skin.

For a start, it is important to moisturize the body with oil or moisturizers that contain oils, immediately following showering.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population indicated the need to keep bathing time, so that it is less than 10 minutes.

And people should not forget to reduce the use of hot water while showering.

And if you are a user of perfumed soaps and creams, you should limit them, while avoiding rubbing or scratching the skin.

And during cold weather, don’t go out of your house without wearing a scarf, hat, and gloves.

It is important to wear rubber gloves when using strong detergents. It is preferable to wash clothes with detergents without dyes or perfumes to prevent skin irritation.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population advises, via “Instagram”, to choose clothes made of cotton and natural silk, as they allow the skin to breathe.

And if you want to stay hydrated, just drink fluids.

And when you feel itchy, you can use cold compresses on the dry area.

Finally, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population advises the necessity of quitting smoking.

And the official account of the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar shared on Twitter some signs and symptoms that may appear on the skin, which you should pay attention to.

Signs that may indicate skin cancer:

  • Permanent ulcers that do not heal, with raised edges, and visible blood vessels
  • Slow-growing, waxy or discolored bumps on the skin
  • Flat, hard or yellow, scar-like spots on the skin
  • Sores over old burns or scars
  • New moles appear, or existing moles change in size, shape, or color

Skin cancer prevention methods also include the following steps:

  • Beware of medications and drugs that increase the sensitivity of the skin to sunlight
  • Avoid sunbathing
  • Make sure to apply sunscreen to the body throughout the year
  • wear protective clothing
