Eduardo Bolsonaroson of the current president Jair Bolsonaroshared on his Instagram profile images of his “lightning passage” through Buenos Aires. As he detailed in the description of the post, the reason for which he decided to visit the Argentine capital was to “open the eyes of the undecided” two weeks before the second electoral round in Brazil. “Brazil will be neither Venezuela nor Argentina”crowned
The video, less than a minute long, begins with a shot of Eduardo from behind and his landing at the Ezeiza International Airport. He can be seen accompanied by a backpack and a suitcase, both with the Brazilian flag. As the recording progresses, he is questioned by local citizens who share praise for his father and the economic situation of the South American giant. Among them, a man he asked for “a Bolsonaro in Argentina.”
The first stop of the referent of the Liberal Party was downtown Buenos Aires. Dressed in a shirt of the Argentine team -Lionel Messi’s 10- he walked down Corrientes Street along with a group of cameramen and soundmen who followed up on the talks he had with neighbors.
Then, he stopped in the neighborhood of La Boca and went through the vicinity of La Bombonera and Caminito. On that occasion, a young woman approached him and admitted that she would like to have “deflation like in Brazil”. Others, for their part, preferred only to ask for a photo. Bolsonaro also took the opportunity to visit gastronomic establishments and supermarket shelves. In one of them, showed an empty freezer and blamed “socialism” for the food shortage.
Finally, in the last sections of the video, he shows the exchange he had with a man -apparently on Florida Street-, in which he reveals: “The people who come here from Brazil are more from Bolsonaro than from Lula [da Silva]. I talk to them regarding Lula and they tell me that she is a demon”. The post, uploaded late Thursday night, garnered more than 90,000 likes and comments from Internet users who celebrated the visit of the 38-year-old deputy.
According to sources consulted by LA NACION, the third of the four children of the Brazilian president held a private dinner in Puerto Madero with political leaders. Among them, Miguel Pichetto, Ramiro Marra, Carolina Píparo, Joaquín de la Torre, Nahuel Sotelo and Dina Rezinovsky and Francisco Sánchez. Marra, a member of the La Libertad Avanza party, shared a selfie with Eduardo on Twitter, in which he wrote: “The left trembles.”
Sotelo did the same, along with the following comment: “With the great @BolsonaroSP talking to him, I can’t stop thinking regarding… How easy they have it in Brazil!”.
Piparo, a bench partner of José Luis Espert and a reference for Avanza Libertad, added praise for both Jair and Eduardo Bolsonaro: “It is good to hear people with so much courage and convictions to continue fighting the battles that our region needs. The best for you”.
After midnight, it would be Rezinovsky who would share the last tweet related to the meeting: “A pleasure to have the opportunity to chat with the Deputy @BolsonaroSP and learn regarding the current situation in Brazil prior to the election on October 30. Thank you for the speech!”.
Bolsonaro was shown this Friday with the leader Joaquin de la Torreof Together for Change, in Greater Buenos Aires. “He asked me to see first-hand the difficult situation to which Kirchnerism led us”said the former mayor of San Miguel.
“Bolsonaro put order in Brazil: homicides fell 40% and the economy grows more than in China. It is the first year in the last 42 years that Brazil has surpassed China in economic growth,” said de la Torre, adding: “He lowered taxes and thanks to that he has deflation, that is, prices go down, not up. He achieved all this by putting order in the accounts and order in the street”.
