Actor Ahn Sung-ki, who has recently been known to be battling blood cancer, told reporters he met at the press conference for the publication of ‘Living in Movies’, the memoir of Dong-A Export Corporation Chairman Lee Woo-seok.
On the 14th, Yonhap News reported that he attended the publication commemoration of ‘Living in Movies’, the memoir of Dong-A Export Corporation Chairman Lee Woo-suk, held at the Cinematheque of the Korean Film Archive in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
According to the report, Ahn Sung-ki had a slightly swollen face, but greeted people with a bright appearance. In the seat next to him, director Bae Chang-ho, who is known to be close, sat.
Ahn Sung-ki, who participated in the event in casual clothes, simply replied, “It’s okay. It’s just there.” When asked if she spends a lot of time outdoors, she said “never”.
During the conversation, Yonhap News reported that he did not lose his characteristic bright smile.
Ahn Sung-ki did not lose his smile while exchanging greetings with fellow filmmakers on that day, and at the end of the event, he and fellow filmmakers took a commemorative photo in front of the stage with Chairman Lee and fellow filmmakers.
Earlier, his agency, Artist Company, said last month that Ahn Sung-ki had been receiving treatment for blood cancer for over a year.
