Alfa Romeo F1 reported that he had a touching meeting with “Mr. Goto” who gave me a fan letter three years ago at the 2022 F1 Japan GP.
In 2019, a fan letter was sent to Frédéric Vasseur, the representative of the Alfa Romeo F1 team, probably written in English by a child.
Enclosed with it was €19, which read: ‘I’m sorry we can’t save more money for the betterment of the team’.
However, since there was no address or e-mail address other than the name Hogoto, he wanted to know the contact information because he might not reply.
And the team found Goto at the F1 Japan GP held at Suzuka Circuit for the first time in three years.
Alfa Romeo invites Goto to the paddock. Uploaded a video showing the team’s garage and pit wall, putting them on the F1 machine, and taking a commemorative photo with drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
And the Alfa Romeo F1 team fought the F1 Japan GP by posting a message “Thank you Mr. Goto” on the floor of the F1 machine saying “We gave him a suitable place”.
The video ended with the message “WELCOME TO THE FAMILY”.
