Doha: Public Works Authority Ashgal has announced that 5 million accident-free work hours have been completed since the start of drainage maintenance and operation in the southern regions of Qatar. In the presence of Ashgal, Consulting Office representatives and employees, Metito-Qatar has performed well in ensuring health and safety at workplaces. In a press release issued by the authority, it was announced that Khalid Al Ubaidali was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
NG said that the safety of workers and contractors is of paramount importance and high standards of health, safety and environmental sustainability standards and measures are followed at Ashgal workplaces. Al Ubaidali said that the operation and maintenance of the drainage network in southern Qatar was completed through the work of more than 800 experienced engineers and technicians.
Doha, Wakrah, Wukair, Mashaf, Industrial Area, Old Airport, Mushairib, Ain Khalid, Abu Hamour, Al Thumama, Najma, Barwa, Birkat Al Awamir, Mukainis, Al Qarana, Economic Zone, Mammoura, New Salata, Umm Gwailina, Doha South Qatar includes the areas of Jadida, Old Alghanem, Al Hitmi and Al Aziri.
The project includes the South Doha Drainage Treatment Plant with a production capacity of 2,04,000 cubic meters per day in South Doha, Sanitation Treatment Plant in the Industrial Zone, Lifting Stations, seven sub-treatment plants, Ground Water Management System and Irrigation Water Management System.
