The LibreOffice library contains all manuals for the free office suite. These are regularly adapted to the new versions of the programs. Now the Calc Guide has been published in English as the first book for the 4.7 series.
In addition to error corrections and an improved description of conditional formatting, sparklines are also described. the Books can be purchased, downloaded as a PDF, or read online. Speaking of sparklines; in case you’ve never heard of it, here’s a short demonstration.
Sparklines are mini charts that fit in a cell. To create them, select a range of values and choose from the menu: Insert, Insert Sparkline. There you can see the selected value range and can specify in which cell the sparkline should be shown (output range). Here is an example:
You can see the range of values (temperature values for one year) and two sparklines as bar and line charts. In the sparkline properties window there are more options for displaying the mini charts.
