Russia continued its attacks from the air, killing two people in Mykolaiv, a town still under Ukrainian control in the south.
But the advance of the Ukrainian army towards Kherson sufficiently worried the Russian occupier so that it announced Thursday the evacuation towards the Crimea of the civilian population.
This area had been illegally annexed by a referendum at the end of September, a gesture denounced by 143 countries during a vote at the United Nations on Wednesday evening.
This new vote shows that international disapproval is not weakening, despite the abstention of China and India.
In addition, satellite images show the extent of the damage caused by the still unclaimed attack on the Crimean bridge, which had angered Vladimir Putin, who insists that his nuclear threat is not a bluff.
The response from the European Union’s foreign affairs chief, Josep Borrel, is equally firm. NATO, the European Union, the United States are not bluffing either.
