states of Texas, Arizona, California y Connecticut, in the United States, they are the largest distributors of weapons to Mexico: most of the 55,996 that have been seized between January 2020 and September 2022, of which 45,728 were manufactured in the United States, were located in Tijuana ( 3,201), Ciudad Juárez (2,179) and Guadalajara (1,217). Only Texas, Arizona and California represent 21.9 percent of the weapons seized in Mexico.
In addition, the Mexican government identified at least 2,137 stores in Texas that they sold weapons that were illegally trafficked to the country and placed the city of Hartford in Connecticut at the head of the 10 counties with the highest illegal sale of weapons that end up in the national territory. At least 880 stores were located in California and 755 in Arizona.
According to the map, which was drawn up from the results obtained within the framework of the Bicentennial Understanding between Mexico and the United States and presented by Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard following the meeting with Secretary Antony Blinken, the cities where weapons from North American stores have been detected are: Querétaro (1,186), León (1,186), Reynosa (865) , Nuevo Laredo (862), Mexicali (794), Benito Juárez (737) and Celaya (731).
In the United States arms trafficking mapthe counties where the weapons that have been seized in Mexico are sold are: Maricopa in Arizona (1,482), Harris, Texas (1,156), Hampden, Massachusetts (895), Pima, Arizona (707), Los Angeles, California (637), Dallas, Texas (637), El Paso, Texas (553), Bexar, Texas (499), and Orange, Texas (487).
In addition, according to the figures exchanged by both governments, in the state of Sonora the largest weapons seizurefollowed by Tamaulipas, Baja California and Guanajuato.
Likewise, there is a relationship between the weapons acquired in Texas (1,408) that end up in Tamaulipas. There are also 1,309 acquired in Arizona and located in Sonora, while 790 seized in Guanajuato were acquired in Texas.

In addition, 73.22 percent of the cartridges seized have been located in the border states of Tamaulipas and Sonorawhile the city of Navojoa accumulates 54.1 percent of the total of those seized in national territory.
Other cities where cartridges from the United States have been seized are Nogales and San Luis Rio Colorado in Sonora; Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Camargo and Miguel Alemán in Tamaulipas; Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua and Mexicali in Baja California.
