Scheduled for early 2023, the reissues of Persona 3 and 4 are particularly awaited by fans of the Atlus saga. The titles should arrive directly in the Xbox Game Pass early next year, the opportunity to discover or rediscover these classics in their best light despite the fact that only Xbox players will have the chance to play them by exploiting the capabilities of 9th generation consoles.
No native PlayStation 5 version planned for Persona 3 and 4 re-releases
This is what our colleagues at Gematsu reported today when they announced that only the Xbox Series X|S will be entitled to a native version of the reissues of Persona 3 and 4. This choice has not yet been justified by Atlus. , but the decision is surprising to say the least when you know the history and impact of the Persona license on Sony consoles.
Sony players with a PlayStation 5 will have to make do with the PlayStation 4 versions of these reissues while waiting for Persona 5 Royal, which will be optimized for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
A rather surprising situation which testifies to the success of Xbox’s strategy to get closer to Japanese developers and publishers. Xbox has entered this market quickly and efficiently and the Persona license, historically linked to Sony, now seems closer to the Redmond firm than ever. Person 5 Royal hits new platforms on October 21, and Persona 3 and 4 are slated to launch on January 19.
Finally got a response regarding this. The Xbox Series versions of P4G / P3P are native ! https://t.co/K8pkLKm6Ak
