Thiruvananthapuram: This year’s National Award of INA Hero Vakkam Khader Memorial National Foundation has been given to prominent businessman M.A. For Yusufali. In a press conference, the officials of the foundation informed that the national award is given to great personalities in various fields.
The award is given to Yusufali as a person who has rendered valuable services for religious fraternity and has done great work in social and philanthropic fields. Officials said that Yusufali, a non-Arab citizen, was appointed as a member of the board of directors and then vice-chairman of the UAE Chamber of Commerce for a long time.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will present the award at a ceremony to be held at Ayyankali Hall on October 23 at 4 pm. The inauguration of the National Foundation office building constructed on the land allocated by the government at Nandavan will also be held. President M.M. Hassan, Working President Ananthalavattam Anandan, General Secretary M.M. Iqbal, Treasurer B.S. Balachandran and attended the press conference.
