The public’s curiosity regarding Farel Prayoga’s religion was finally answered.
Farel Prayoga apparently embraced Islam following being suspected of being non-Muslim because he might not recite the Koran.
“Farel embraced Islam without any coercion from anyone. So he chose his own religion,” said Zidni, a close friend of Farel Prayoga, quoted from detikJatim
“So in Farel’s family the tolerance is great. Both parents are non-Muslims. The older sister is Muslim, the older brother is Christian,” he continued.
Furthermore, Zidni said that Farel’s parents did free their son and daughter to choose their own beliefs.
“Farel’s parents freed him to embrace what religion. I seriously asked Farel if he chose Islam. Otherwise, I don’t dare say that Farel is Muslim. His parents also admitted that Farel was Muslim,” he said.
In fact, it’s not only Farel Prayoga who has different beliefs from his parents, there are five other artists.
