Construction of a bypass in Kaolack: Faydah’s complaint – Lequotidien

The Organizing Committee for Faydah events and activities (Comaf), responsible for organizing the annual Gamou of Medina Baye, in Kaolack (Centre), called on Tuesday for the construction of a bypass in the said city, to facilitate the circulation of pedestrians and motorists. “During the Gamou, we noticed that the traffic was not fluid at the level of the roads leading to Kaolack (…) We propose the construction of a bypass, which can facilitate access to Medina Baye”, launched the president of Comaf, Cheikh Mamoune Ibrahima Niass.

Speaking during a press briefing on the course of the Gamou celebrated on Saturday in memory of the birth of the Prophet Mouhamed Psl), he called for the construction of sanitation works by the public authorities in Medina Baye, a district of the city of Kaolack. “Medina Baye faces a serious sanitation problem. We ask President Macky Sall to do something for Medina Baye in this area,” said Cheikh Mamoune Ibrahima Niass. He deplored the poor condition of some roads in the city of Kaolack. Regarding electricity, “there is no problem in Medina Baye, apart from a few disturbances”, he acknowledged in the presence of officials from the Gamou organizing committee. “We want the health aspect of Gamou and other needs to be taken care of by the budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Action,” said the president of Comaf.
