Kim Sae-ron Photo|Star Today DBActress Kim Sae-ron (22) has almost completed compensation for damage caused by a drunk driving accident. She did not, however, reach an agreement with one place she disagreed with over her compensation.
On the 12th, Kim Sae-ron’s agency, Gold Medalist, told Maeil Business Star Today, “After the accident, I met with regarding 30 merchants who suffered damage and apologized and completed all compensation. One company offered an amount that was difficult to accept with common sense, so only this part was not agreed upon,” he said.
Kim Sae-ron was driving drunk in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul around 8 am on the 18th of May, and crashed into a guardrail, a street tree, and a transformer more than 3 times. The accident caused confusion such as power outages and signal paralysis in the area on the way to work, and some stores suffered financial damage as they disrupted business.
At the time, when the police, who were dispatched to the report by citizens, tried to measure the blood alcohol level, Kim Sae-ron refused to do so and requested a blood sample. As a result of the chaeol test, it was revealed that Kim Sae-ron’s blood alcohol concentration was regarding 0.2%, which was well above the 0.08% standard for revocation of his license.
On the 19th, the day following the accident, Kim Sae-ron posted on SNS, “I made a big mistake while drinking. I should have acted more cautiously and responsibly, but I mightn’t. I sincerely apologize.” He bowed his head.
Afterwards, Kim Sae-ron went to the buildings and shops that suffered financial damage due to her drunk driving accident, apologized and compensated for the damage.
Kim Sae-ron received attention for her delicate acting in the 2009 movie ‘The Traveler’ when she was 9 years old, and rose to stardom with Won Bin’s movie ‘The Mister’, which was released the following year. She has appeared in various works such as the movie ‘Neighbor’, ‘The Eyes’, the drama ‘Glamorous Temptation’, ‘Witch’s Guard’ and ‘Excellent Shaman Street Sim’. He got out of the SBS drama ‘Trolley’, which was regarding to be filmed for the first time due to a drunk accident.
