Kazma Al-Kuwaiti defeats Al-Ittihad and waits for Al-Ahly or Al-Jahra

The Kuwaiti team, Kazma, booked the crossing card for the semi-finals of the Arab Championship following defeating the Alexandrian Al-Ittihad team with a score of (106-101) in the first matches of the quarter-finals.

The Alexandrian Al-Ittihad team excelled in the first period with a score of (25-18), but with the second period Kazma was able to pressure the “leader of the gap” team to reduce the result to a point and the result became (46-45).

The match reached its excitement with the third and fourth period, as each team tied with a score (94-94) following a fatal triple from the American professional Kendall Dicks, so that each team went to overtime.

Kazma team succeeded in winning the match following resorting to the overtime period, where the Kuwaiti champion won (106-101), bringing the Kuwaiti team to the semi-finals.

The Kazma team is waiting in the semi-finals for the winner of the Kuwaiti Al-Ahly and Al-Jahra match in a meeting that will take place at 4:00 pm Cairo time.

The quarter-final matches are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, and they are:

Lebanese Sports Club x Beirut Lebanese (2 pm)

Al-Ahly x Jahra (4 pm)

Kuwait Kuwait x Iraqi University Tigris (6 pm)

The two semi-final matches will be held on Friday, according to what was stated on the official page of the Arab Basketball Federation.

The final match will be next Saturday, with the third and fourth place match taking place on the same day as well.

It is worth noting that Al-Ahly is the last team that won the championship last year, at the expense of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, with a score of (78-66) in a meeting held at the “Borg El Arab” hall in Alexandria.
