Suddenly you wake up and find yourself in a state of complete paralysis
You can’t move or scream, and you’re back to normal following a few minutes.
What is the name of the condition that hit you and what caused it?
Sleep paralysis
It is a condition in which you cannot move your body during sleep even though you feel conscious and awake, and it occurs between the states of wakefulness and sleep.
It is not associated with any serious health problem, contrary to what is common among people.
This situation occurs at one of the following times:
1_ When you fall asleep.
2_ shortly before waking up.
There are no clear causes for sleep paralysis, but it is suggested to the following:
1_ insomnia.
2_ anxious and disturbed sleep.
3_ Sleep narcolepsy.
4_ Post-traumatic stress disorder.
5_ panic.
As for avoiding exposure to such a situation while sleeping, the following tips should be followed:
1_ Sleep regularly 6-8 hours a day.
2_ Sleep regularly and wake up at the same time every day.
3_ Exercise regularly.
4_ Avoid eating a heavy meal or alcohol and smoking shortly before bed.
5_ Avoid sleeping on the back.
If the situation recurs and develops into constant anxiety and fear of sleeping with fatigue and severe weakness, a doctor should be consulted.
Finally, you are well, health and peace.
