The Lebanese actress, Dina Hayek, said that she suffers from “cruel” breast cancer, which requires undergoing treatment stages, which she described as difficult.
Hayek denied, in an interview with Fuchsia, that she suffers from the third degree of cancer, revealing that she has started chemotherapy to complete the steps she needs to recover.
She added, “Initially, I used to undergo chemotherapy every two weeks, and the treatment developed into a weekly one.”
She indicated that she liked to reveal her disease during this month of breast cancer awareness, commenting: “It is very difficult for a person to know by chance that he suffers from this malignant disease, as he has many dark thoughts.”
Hayek confirmed that she accepted her situation today and is satisfied with what God has written for her, commenting: “I know that the stage is very difficult, but I trust the doctors and I will overcome this disease.”
She revealed that she cut her hair for fear of seeing it fall out in front of her eyes, especially following doctors told her that this would inevitably happen as a result of undergoing treatment.
The Lebanese artist called on women to undergo a breast cancer examination every 6 months, noting that if she had waited until next September, the disease would have spread in her body, and had become in advanced stages.
Meanwhile, Dina Hayek had participated in a seminar held by the “Ritlo” Association in Beirut under the title “Early Detection of Breast Cancer”.
