Cahors. Suffering from cancer, she exhibits for Pink October

Laurence-Gabrielle L. exhibits at the Maison de la region in Cahors her luminous paintings, in soft and warm colors. An echo of the dark period she went through last year, suffering from breast cancer.

“I had to express my emotions,” she explains, adding that this is how she decided to approach the disease: “Creatively”. Pink October is the right time to share your creations. “I’ve always wanted to get involved in this cause.”

Laurence-Gabrielle L. also plans to release a book soon. This resilience, she wishes to share it through her paintings, but also through encounters. Thus, two appointments are planned this month with young people followed by the local Mission. “I want to show them that whatever ordeal we go through, whether it concerns health or not, we always have a power of resilience within us.”

The opening, Thursday, October 6, was also the occasion for a time of discussion around breast cancer, in the presence of the vice-president of the region Marie Piqué.

The “Sacred Resilience” exhibition is on view until the end of October, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
