Although he confirmed that he did not intend any offense to the family of the late artist Ahmed Zaki, the family of the late apparently wants to sue the writer Mohamed Tawfik, in protest of things he mentioned in his book “Ahmed Zaki 86”.
Mona Zaki, the artist’s sister, revealed that writers have the right to allocate and write regarding public figures, but without prejudice to the truth, stressing the need for the writer to be keen to show that character in a decent manner.
“It is not permissible to slander”
She justified her words by saying that people will eventually read books, and therefore the point of view will be the responsibility of the one who conveys the ideas, according to what she said during a telephone interview on the “Cairo Talk” program.
The sister also stressed that Ahmed Zaki gave everything good to the Egyptian people through the stories he told, and he should not be slandered, as she put it.

She added that the book stated that the late mother was not good to him, and gave him to those who raised him and abandoned him, and he also said that he refused to meet her and visit him while he was in the hospital, while she was next to him during his illness and holding his hand, citing the director Sherif Arafa who was aware of this and also Artist Kamal Abu Raya and artist Raghda, according to her words.
She also confirmed that the late had always asked his mother to live with him, but she refused.
She revealed some secrets regarding the artist’s visit to his mother, disguised as my aunt and my galabiya, to escape the crowd of fans around him, saying: “The first thing that arrived was to hug Mama, kiss her, and sleep on her feet on the ground.”
