Serbian scientists announced that they had discovered a new species of insect, and decided to name it Novak Djokovic in honor of the tennis champion, because of the small animal’s enjoyment of speed and endurance.
The professor at the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade, Nikola Vezovic, found the insect inside a cave in a mountain in western Serbia, and said that the discovered object is a “small insect with long legs and very long antennae.”
The researchers decided to give the insect the name of the Serbian champion, who won 21 titles in the major tennis tournaments, because of the characteristics of speed, steadfastness, strength and flexibility that characterize them.
