Stardfield, Bethesda and Xbox’s iconic space open world, is coming in 2023. The anticipation around this novelty is stronger than ever, given the importance of the name, which has so many hopes that it can justify them to the fullest. Information regarding Starfield is scarce, but few details have surfaced online.

In fact, on October 8th, PCGamesN published an interview with Nate Purcapil, a former Bethesda Softworks developer who helped the Starfield team. The journalists asked various questions regarding the upcoming RPG set in space, trying to sort out a number of key questions, from the scope of the project and beyond to the creation of explorable game worlds.

As we were able to understand from the very first presentations of the project, Bethesda’s intentions were clear from the very beginning: Starfield wants to rethink the concept of an open world, becoming a game that overcomes the physical barriers of the world in order to reach infinite space. However, to fully understand the scope of the creation of the development team, it took the input of Nate Purcapil, who worked at the aforementioned company for fourteen years.

According to the developer, the importance of Starfield is such that it necessitated the creation of the largest Bethesda development team.

Starfield is a very large project – and the team consists of regarding five hundred people, while Fallout 76 had regarding two hundred people working on it.

Starfield will be a massive project with over a thousand planets to explore. Unfortunately, in this question, the former developer might not give a clear answer, although he stated that only part of the entire team was working on Starfield planets, but the studio came up with some kind of creative solution that allowed us to create so many planets for Starfield and at the same time save their uniqueness

In general, the developer himself did not go into details of the game’s design, although his interview is very important for understanding the scope of the Starfield project.
