Protests in Iran: Nothing left to lose – Iran

It is not easy to reach people in Iran these days. Since the death of the young Kurd Mahsa Jina Amini, who died following being arrested by the vice squad, many things are not what they used to be. Protests have already been going on for three weeks – once morest the regime’s repression, which is primarily aimed at women and minorities. The courage of many people in Iran to express their rejection seems to be greater than their fear of the regime. DER STANDARD spoke to Iranian women at home and abroad who wished to remain anonymous for security reasons.
