A Christian cleric participates in honoring the winners of the Emirati Endowment Competition.. Waseem Youssef comments

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – A Christian cleric participated in honoring the winners of the “Young Preacher” competition organized by the UAE Ministry of Awqaf, and Emirati preacher Waseem Yousef commented on the matter, saying that this is further evidence that the UAE is a “state of tolerance.”

The Emirati Endowment published pictures to honor the winners of the sixth season of the competition, and a Christian cleric appeared while he was participating in honoring the winning children.

Youssef republished the photos on his official page on Twitter and commented on them by saying: “Something wonderful and proud that you feel and you will not find in any country… When you find the Emirates Endowments honor the winners of the Young Preacher’s Award and one of the Christian brothers rises on the stage to award prizes to the winners… Gentlemen.” , according to him.

And the Emirati preacher continued, saying: “Here the UAE is not religious arrogance, nor religious preference, nor religious racism, the state of tolerance in the Emirates,” he said.

The “Young Preacher” competition focuses on Emirati children reading texts that carry religious sermons in a certain way, and the participant should not be more than 16 years old and 18 years old for people of determination, according to the Emirati Endowments.
