UNAM medical students ask for greater tolerance from teachers

After considering that teachers humiliate them and affect their mental health by drastically evaluating them, this followingnoon first and second year medical students at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), walked in march from the lightbulb park to Ciudad Universitaria.

The group of approximately 80 university students mentioned that the way in which they qualify teachers is exaggerated and has caused many of them to suffer from behavioral disorders and suicidal instincts as they cannot cope with the large number of jobs that leave them from one day to the next. other.

The evaluations put a lot of pressure and stress on us and it affects our mental health (…) it is a lot of pressure on ourselves from society, from the school,” said Mariana, a 2nd semester Medicine student.

The nonconformists made a scale in front of Rectory from the university, where they shouted slogans, however they continued their demonstration to the Faculty of Medicine.

There they took off their robes and placed them along with their banners at the entrance to the building and delivered a petition to the authorities, hoping that their teachers are more tolerant of them, because they say that this attitude causes many not to finish their studies. .
