With this result, the UAE team’s tally rose to 20 colored medals, 6 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze.
Muhammad Al-Mutaiwee succeeded in winning the first gold for the UAE on the third day by achieving first place in the 4 km individual pursuit race, outperforming the Algerian champion, in Al-Mutaiwee’s first participation with the adult category in the Arab Track Championship, to achieve his first medal in the race in which he finished fourth in the last edition. from the tournament.
Huda Hussein also succeeded in achieving a new gold for the UAE, surpassing the Egyptian title holder in the last edition to achieve her first gold in the championship, and Sheikha Issa succeeded in adding a new bronze for the Emirates in the Keren race.
Mohammed Al-Mutaiwee, who participated in the 4 km team pursuit race, confirmed his happiness with his first medal in the championship, following a long preparation program that began last season, which witnessed his participation in this race for the youth category, indicating that his goal was to obtain the gold medal, which was achieved.
The race was attended by Sheikh Faisal bin Humaid Al Qasimi, President of the Arab Cycling Federation, Mansour Bu Asaiba, President of the UAE Cycling Federation, and a large number of members of the Arab Federation.
