As fashion stylist famous Indonesian, Caren Delano already handling big names in the country’s industry. One of them is Syahrini, who left a unique experience in Caren’s mind.
Syahrini became a client of Caren Delano when he was still victorious as a solo singer, precisely before marrying Reino Barack. Like other clients, dealing with the ‘You Who Chose Me’ singer has its own challenges.
Caren will never forget my experience when I was involved in Syahrini’s concert which was held by a private TV station several years ago.
“At that time Syahrini had to appear with seven stylish clothes couture which takes a long time to put on or take off,” Caren told Wolipop some time ago.
The problem, added Caren, is that Syahrini only has less than two minutes to change clothes. Syahrini’s fashion style is even more complicated because it involves a headpiece by the famous accessory designer Rinaldy A. Yunardi.

He was grateful that everything went smoothly. Syahrini’s performance successfully captivated the audience even though the show was not as big as a single concert.
Past, Caren Delano and Syahrini are almost inseparable. Now the two are no longer together professionally following widely heard that there was a feud between the two. However, Caren insists their relationship is still fine even though it’s not as close as it used to be.
“Had worked together once more with Syahrini in 2020 for a magazine photo shoot. And it was fun,” recalls the man who idolized stylist Hollywood Rachel Zoe.
The beginning of the friendship between Caren and Syahrini was established in mid 2012. At that time, Caren had just returned from the United States following seven years of studying and working in Uncle Sam’s country. Rio Motret then introduced him to Syahrini who happened to be looking for stylist to support her image as a top singer and celebrity.

Mutualism symbiosis may be suitable to describe the relationship between the two. With his skills as stylist, Caren, who had studied fashion business at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, successfully dressed Syahrini. On the other hand, Syahrini’s status helped boost Caren’s career.
Caren became one celebrity stylist most sought following in Indonesia. Various offers to deal with celebrities also came. Agnez Mo to Bunga Citra Lestari wanted to include Caren in their glamorous team.
To celebrate her career achievements, Caren is holding an exhibition of works styling in digital form titled ‘Abracadabra’ at Senayan City Jakarta on 7-16 October. The exhibition, which involved two junior stylists and designer Wiki Wu, features nearly 200 stylish public figures under Caren’s direction as fashion director.
Of the many celebrities involved, Syahrini is not included. “I know that Syahrini’s priorities are not what they used to be, so we don’t involve him in this exhibition,” said Caren Delano which will also launch a clothing brand made at the exhibition.
