A meteor shower will light up the sky for the next five nights.. know the details

The Draconid meteor shower is peaking with up to 10 meteors slithering across the sky every hour, the annual procession will be most visible in the northern hemisphere on Saturday (October 8), but the meteors will start appearing earlier in the night (October 6) and may be visible For five nights until Monday.

And according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, and to get the best possible view, experts suggest finding a place with a clear sky and away from sources of light pollution such as major cities.

The Royal Museums Greenwich said: “While most other meteor showers are best seen in the early morning hours, this meteor is best seen in the evening, following dark.”

Meteor showers occur when Earth travels through a cloud of cometary debris, creating a light show for viewers on Earth.

The Draconid meteor shower originates from the debris of Comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner, a small comet 2 km in diameter.

When a comet passes through the inner solar system, it puts new pieces of debris into orbit every 6.6 years. Meteors form when the Earth passes through this debris field. Unfortunately, the full moon is around the same time this year, so viewing conditions will be poor.

However, in general, North America, Europe, and Asia are the best places to see Draconids, but anyone looking for these meteorites needs an area with clear skies.
