Scandal in Argentina! Match between Gimnasia and Boca Juniors is suspended

Only nine minutes were played in the match between Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata and Boca Juniors, valid for date 23 of the Argentine Professional League.

Due to serious incidents that occurred outside the Juan Carmelo Zerillo Stadium, the referee Hernán Mastrángelo made the decision “due to lack of guarantees”. This was reported by the official page of the competition.

The acts of violence started following the closure of one of the entrances to the venue, an issue that prevented the fans from entering despite having a ticker in hand.

The situation became even more tense as the minutes went by and led to clashes with the police, who used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse them.

Precisely the toxic cloud entered the field and several players ended up very affected, for which they retired to dressing rooms waiting for the resumption. Nevertheless, the judge determined the term of the duel.

It is expected that in the next few hours it will be determined what will happen with the rest of the meeting.
