Red Alert in three municipalities of Mexico City due to rains

The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection activated this Thursday the Red Alert for rains in the mayor’s offices Azcapotzalco, Cuauhtemoc y Miguel Hidalgo due to heavy rain until 11:00 p.m.

Through a bulletin, the authority recommended that the inhabitants of said demarcations have at hand and in a airtight bag their most important documentsturn on fog lights if driving in such areas, and stay clear of flooded areas.

On the other hand, Orange Alert is maintained in the Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa and Tláhuac municipalities. There is also a Yellow Alert in Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Gustavo A. Madero, La Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tlalpan, Venustiano Carranza and Xochimilco.

The Mexico City Water System provides care in 28 waterloggings presented in the Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Iztapalapa, Tláhuac, Tlalpan and Xochimilco municipalities.
