Announced several years ago, the film The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) is finally unveiled in a very first trailer!

Produced by Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto himself, in collaboration with American animation studio Illumination Entertainment (The Minions), the film will star Chris Pratt as Mario, while Jack Black will lend his voice for the villainous Bowser. .
Additionally, Koji Kondo, the maestro behind the Super Mario Bros video games, will return to score the film. Illumination CEO Christopher Meledandri has revealed that the film has been in production for 7 years now!
In the trailer, we see the terrible Bowser, King of the Koopa, attacking a strong castle belonging to penguins. Despite the (powerful) resistance of the latter, they are no match for Bowser who destroys the ice castle with a single breath of fire. Allowing him to recover one of the famous stars of the Mario universe. We are then introduced to Mario who meets Toad in the Mushroom Kingdom.
