Fernando Alonso cited the moment when he overtook Michael Schumacher with 130R at the 2005 F1 Japan GP as the best moment at Suzuka Circuit.
“I have a lot of good memories of Suzuka. I think one of my best moments was overtaking Michael[Schumacher]in the famous 130R corner. That was a good overtaking,” said Fernando. Alonso commented.
“The same goes for winning the race in 2006. It was a big moment for the championship heading into the season finale in Brazil. I have good memories of Suzuka and the fans are always great.”
“Suzuka is a thrilling test for an F1 driver,” said Fernando Alonso about his favorite part of the Suzuka circuit.
“It’s a historic track and one of the most fun places to drive. This weekend we move from a street circuit to a more traditional track, with some challenging corners and sequences.”
“The weather is also changeable, so you never know what will happen. I also love Japanese culture and the fans can create a special atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorites this year.”
