The decision has been made: the board of directors of Agirc-Arrco acts on the revaluation of supplementary pensions which will apply on November 1.
The board of directors of Agirc-Arrco (employer and union representatives) met this Thursday, October 6 and decided to revalue supplementary pensions by 5.12% on November 1. 13 million retirees will therefore be able to count on an increase in their Agirc-Arrco supplementary pension, as revealed by information from the Parisian.
“With well-kept accounts and comfortable reserves, up to 62 billion euros, we can afford to grant such an increase without unbalancing our accounts”, explains to our colleagues one of the three employers’ directors. The measure will cost the regime 4.5 billion euros.
The administrators of Agirc-Arrco, however, say they are worried regarding the transfer to the State of the collection of pensions via Urssaf. Indeed, from January 2023, it is this public body that will be responsible for collecting additional pension contributions from employees.
“Why does the state want to take over? Our system, piloted by the social partners, has been balanced for seventy-five years! The state-run system has always been in imbalance. They must start with sweep in front of their door”, protests the Agirc-Arrco according to The Parisian.
