José Carvallo, 36, faces his third stage at Universitario de Deportes. The goalkeeper has been with the institution since 2019 and, previously, he was part of the team in 2003-2007 and 2013-15. In addition to the ‘U’, the athlete has played for DC United, Sporting Cristal, Melgar and the Technical University of Cajamarca.
Carvallo has also been part of the Peruvian national team for several years. The goalkeeper participated in the Qualifiers for Brazil 2014, Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 and was a World Cup player four years ago, with Ricardo Gareca on the bench.
