At least 34 people were killed in a kindergarten shooting in Thailand, police said.
The authorities indicated that 23 children were among the victims of the attack carried out by a former policeman in the province of Non-Boas Lampo.
The police said that the attacker shot and stabbed a number of children and adults before fleeing, heading to his home, killing his family and then committing suicide.
She added that he was last seen driving a white four-door truck with license plates in Bangkok, and that he was called Banya Kamrap.
The motive behind the attack is not yet clear. But reports indicated that the perpetrator was recently dismissed from his job.
And mass shootings in Thailand are rare. In 2020, a soldier killed 21 people and injured dozens in Nakhon Ratchasima.
