Cyberpunk 2077 core development team is moving to Boston for the sequel.
CD Projekt RED released Cyberpunk 2077 almost two years ago and have already announced that the game expansion Phantom Liberty to be released in 2023. More than 350 employees are working on this expansion.
Quest director Pawel Sasko has now revealed that the core development team will be relocating to Boston in North America to set up a new studio at the Sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 will work.
Further said he that the core development team called on the next project following the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s only expansion Project Orion will pivot to pre-development. This sequel is to be handled by CD Projekt RED North America. The studio is supported by the studios CD Projekt Vancouver and the main studio in Warsaw.
CD Projekt RED already said that most of their future released games will also have multiplayer components. So it will be interesting to see if the future cyberpunk game might also offer a multiplayer mode.
Other CDPR projects include a new trilogy in The Wichter series and a new RPG called Hadar.
