The Food and Drug Authority warned once morest using deodorants before and on the day of the mammogram for breast cancer, in order to obtain accurate diagnostic results.
The authority urged female applicants to undergo the examination, to avoid the use of deodorants because of their impact on the mammogram examination for breast cancer and the accuracy of its diagnostic results.
She explained that most deodorants contain aluminum particles, which appear in the examination as white dots, which may cause a misdiagnosis.
