Zamalek fell into the trap of losing to African, 31-33, at the end of its matches in the first group of the African Championship for Handball Champions Clubs in its 43rd edition, currently being held in Tunisia.
With that result, Zamalek lost its lead in the first group to fall to second place with 6 points, from a win in 3 matches and a loss in one match once morest African, who rose to the top with 8 points from 4 victories.
Thus, Zamalek will meet the second of the first group with the third of the second group, which includes Al-Ahly, Tunisia’s Esperance, Algeria’s Ein Touta, Kinshasa Congolese and Benin’s Flowers.
While the Tunisian African will face the first of the first group, with the fourth of the second group, which will be decided following the match between Kinshasa, the Congolese and the Benin Flowers.

The semi-final matches will be held on Friday, October 7th.
