TechCrunch reports that Instagram’s ad expansion is likely to prove unpopular with users. Already complaining regarding too many “suggested” posts, too much focus on reel videos, and too many ads in the app.

Ads appear the moment you open the Discovery Feed

One of Instagram’s new ad placements is “discover” feed. Previously, following visiting the Discover tab and tapping on a post, scrolling down brought an ad to the Discover feed.

With this change,Ads now appear directly on the Discovery homepagebecame. This means that even if you scroll down without engaging with a post, your ad will start appearing the moment you tap the Discover tab.

Add ads directly to your profile feed

Most notably, InstagramAds added directly to your profile feedThere is a possibility that it will be Previously, when you tapped to see someone’s profile, you didn’t see an ad while scrolling through that person’s feed.
