Just one month before the season of promotions and discounts campaigns are the most anticipated by consumers around the world, especially in Mexico. That is why information from Mercado Libre detailed what Mexicans want to buy in the next edition of Buen Fin 2022.
El Buen Fin is a joint government and private initiative that invites companies to offer promotions to encourage consumption among the population. This campaign is aligned in Mexico, with the date on which most employees receive an advance of their end-of-year bonuses or the economic benefit called “aguinaldo”.
In the 2021 edition, The good endgenerated sales of 192 billion pesos, which was positive, if one considers that this occurred in the seven days that the season lasted, once morest the 12 days of 2020, when 239 billion pesos were generated in more days.
What Mexicans want to buy in the Good End 2022
In a recent report, Mercado Libre explained that buyers are preparing for the Good End, so 71 percent of Mexicans plan to make a purchase.
The study revealed that the categories in which buyers expect to make purchases are, mainly, clothing and footwear, with 47 percent of purchase intention, and technology and cell phones, each preference of more than forty percent in each.
Let us remember that the dates of this campaign, this year, have already been announced for November 18 and 21, which It will return to its traditional format following a couple of years, lasting up to a week and a half.
Also, following the pandemic, Mercado Libre assured that the purchase intention has increased by 16 percent compared to 2020.
In the investigation, the e-commerce platform added that it made a purchase intention, where consumers detailed that the brands that they were probably going to acquire during the discount campaign were Apple, Fisher Price, LG, L’Oréal, Maybelline, Mabe, Mattler, Nike y Samsung.
Mercado Libre assured that people who intend to buy during those dates start their search for products and prices between three months and 15 days before El Buen Fin, so that there are already people who are monitoring prices to ensure discounts. So usually 30 percent of users end up buying the product and brand they had planned.
And this is how, a discount campaign is a perfect strategy to boost sales, support you in the launch of a product. Or simply to liquidate stock.
In that sense, consumers welcome this type of campaign in Mexico and around the world. As it can also be a great tool to increase income for small brands, which is why many are already beginning to promote their discounts and even their products on social networks.
