Inter Milan won 1-0 once morest FC Barcelona in the Champions League Group C Matchday 3 clash on Tuesday. In Group A, Naples continued their flawless performance by beating Ajax on their lawn (1-6).
Hakan Calhanoglu scored the only goal of the game for the Nerazzuri in stoppage time in the first period (45th + 2). In the second half, Pedri thought of scoring the equalizing goal but the Spanish international saw his goal canceled by the VAR for a handball by Ansu Fati (67th).
Earlier Tuesday, Bayern Munich won 5-0 once morest Viktoria Plzen, securing his first place with 9 points. Inter move to 2nd position with 6 points ahead of Barcleone (3 pts) while Plzen brings up the rear (0).
In Group A, Napoli humiliated Ajax Amsterdam on their home turf. The Ajacides however opened the scoring via Mohamed Kudus (9th) but Naples reacted via Giacomo Raspadori (18th), Giovanni Di Lorenzo (33rd) and Piotr Zielinski (45th). After the break, Raspadori offered himself a double (47th) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (63rd) and Giovanni Simeone (81st) fixed the final score at 1-6.
At the same time, Liverpool got the better of Rangers. Trent Alexander-Arnold (7th) and Mohamed Salah from the penalty spot (52nd) scored the goals for the Reds who moved up to 2nd place with 6 points, three less than Naples. Ajax are third with 3 points ahead of Rangers (0).
Frankfurt and Tottenham did not manage to decide in Group D. The two teams share 2nd place with 4 points, two less than Sporting Lisbon which retains its first place despite their 4-1 defeat in Marseille earlier in the evening. OM are 4th with 3 points.
