200 megapixels: this is the record size of the main sensor of the all-new Motorola Edge30 Ultra. And the rest of the range also has strong arguments in its favour.
This fall, Motorola returns with three new smartphones: the Edge30 Ultra, the Edge30 Fusion and the Edge30 neo. Three products whose price does not exceed 899 euros for the top of the range. Very reasonable prices in view of their complete technical sheets. In addition, until November 13 inclusive, the three smartphones benefit from a refund offer of up to 100 euros and a Lenovo Smart Clock 2 offered. A quick tour of the unprecedented performance of these three new terminals.
Motorola Edge30 Ultra: an exceptional photo module
The most high-end product of this new series is positioned as an ultra premium terminal, but not its price. For 899 euros, the Motorola Edge30 Ultra is aimed at demanding users and picky photographers. There is of course its elegant design, with its very thin edges, its brushed aluminum back and its very discreet punch on the front.
But if there is one point that differentiates the Motorola Edge30 Ultra from the others, it is undeniably its 200 megapixel main sensor, a first in the smartphone world. To this must be added a second 50-megapixel module for taking ultra-wide-angle and macro photos. The latest 12 megapixel sensor provides a 2x zoom. Note also the presence of an optical stabilization which ensures, in video and in photo, sharp images and without motion blur in low light situations.
At the front, it is a 60 megapixel selfie camera that equips this terminal. Again, the choice made by Motorola is rather unique since such a definition on the front of a smartphone remains exceptional.
To support this photographic power, the American manufacturer has beefed up the rest of the features of its smartphone, starting with the screen. The 6.7-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz promises both excellent visual quality and unfailing fluidity. On the processing power side, we find the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor supported by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage memory. Enough to run all your applications simultaneously and launch the most demanding games.
Finally, it is necessary to underline the good autonomy of this mobile which benefits from a large 4610 mAh battery and an ultra-fast charge of 125 W. The promise? A day of autonomy with only 7 minutes of charge thanks to TurboPower technology. The Motorola Edge30 Ultra can finally charge wirelessly at 50W.
Motorola Edge30 Fusion: the perfect in-between
If you are looking for a product that is a little more affordable, but almost just as powerful, the Motorola Edge30 Fusion is the one to turn to. In its appearance, the Edge30 Fusion looks like two drops of water to its big brother. Again, brushed aluminum dresses the back of the device.
The Motorola Edge30 Fusion has the advantage of offering a slightly smaller screen (6.55 inches), but with the same properties as the Ultra version. The OLED panel and the 144 Hz refresh rate are thus part of the game, however in a format that is easier to handle with one hand.
On the photo side, this smartphone relies on a 50 megapixel main sensor, another with 13 megapixel ultra wide-angle and a depth sensor. Note also that the Motorola Edge30 Fusion still benefits from optical stabilization and omnidirectional autofocus to achieve images that are always sharp even when the subject is moving. Small bonus, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion benefits from technology quad pixel which allows it to merge four pixels into one to capture four times more light.
In terms of performance, the smartphone has nothing to envy to the competition with the presence of a 5G compatible Snapdragon 888+ chip. Finally, it has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage memory, more than enough to store photos and demanding applications. The autonomy is finally not left out with a capacity of 4400 mAh and a fast charge 68 W. Enough to last more than a day in autonomy and charge your smartphone at lightning speed.
Motorola edge30 neo: the big brother
The most affordable terminal in the range, the Motorola Edge30 neo does not have to be ashamed of its performance. For a contained price of 399 euros, you get services still reserved for the upper range until recently. For example, and once more, it’s an OLED panel that covers the front of the screen. It measures 6.3 inches, and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
On the photo side, nothing to complain regarding. In addition to a very good 64-megapixel main sensor, optical stabilization is always there to improve the quality of your shots. Added to this is a 13-megapixel module that manages ultra wide-angle as well as macro shooting. At the front, a 32 megapixel sensor promises successful selfies. Good point finally, the rear and front sensors also benefit from the technology quad pixel which allows better light capture in low light.
For the rest, the Motorola Edge30 neo is excellent value for money. It boasts the 5G-enabled Snapdragon 695 processor coupled with a configuration of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage memory. Finally, with its 4020 mAh battery and 68 W fast charge, it promises generous autonomy that only needs a few minutes to extend. A very appreciable feat for a smartphone with such a quality-price ratio.
