New repair service option will help reduce harmful carbon emissions and provide customers with cost-effective screen repair
Today, Samsung Electronics Canada is pleased to announce the launch of the LCD Glass Panel Replacement Program, a new repair service that is a greener choice for replacing LCD screens on select Samsung devices.[1]. The service will be offered starting October 4, 2022.
The LCD Glass Panel Replacement Program is the latest example of Samsung’s commitment to improving the sustainability of all of its operations, products and services, and to providing customers with a cost-effective option for screen repair service.
Through this program, customers will enjoy high quality repair service; damaged LCD glass on the smartphone will be replaced rather than the complete LCD module. This will help minimize the impact of repairs on the environment, as using fewer parts helps reduce carbon emissions by minimizing parts production. For now, the service will support customers who own certain devices from the Samsung Galaxy S and Note series. Samsung aims to bring this service to a wider range of devices.
“This new service demonstrates our commitment to continue working towards sustainability in our business,” said Frank Martino, Vice President, Business Services, Samsung Electronics Canada. “We are excited to provide a service that helps customers make an environmentally responsible choice for our planet. »
Samsung is committed to providing choice and convenience to its customers. The repair pick-up service is offered at the customer’s home or workplace at no additional cost. This service can also be used through our exclusive service centers, Samsung Experience Stores.
