Kalba hosts the second edition of the Wadi Al-Helou Run

Registration has begun to participate in the Wadi Al-Hilu Run, which is hosted by Kalba and organized by the Sharjah Sports Council on October 9, in front of the archaeological site in Wadi Al-Hilu near the tower, as part of its plan for community sports activities and events that motivate different ages and groups to practice sports.

The event will be held in cooperation and coordination with a number of institutions and supporting and sponsoring bodies, and includes races of 10 km, 5 km and 1.5 km for male and female citizens and the general public, and it is expected that 200 athletes of both sexes will participate, by registering via the link (www.eevents.ae/wadialheloRegistration will close next Friday.

Yasser Omar Al-Doukhi, Director of Sports and Community Events Department, explained that the success of the first edition of the event encouraged its continuation and embrace of the second edition, adding that the event enshrines the culture of sport as a way of life for all the people of the emirate. The finish line is on a commemorative medal designed in the form of a square, with the historic Wadi Al-Helou tower in the center.
